Markets this week will pay close attention to inflation and inflation expectations readings in Brazil to pinpoint the size of the central bank’s initial hike on April 28. Likewise, investors will follow Mexico’s mid-March inflation numbers as well as retail sales and trade results to assess price dynamics and the strength of domestic demand. In Argentina, merchandise trade and industrial production figures will likely point to a strong recovery in Q1 2010, while Colombia’s retail sales and industrial output figures might indicate a slow recovery of domestic[...]
