EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We start our look at North America with the U.S. We review the details of important data releases that surprised on the upside: the BLS employment report, the ISM Manufacturing index, pending home sales and, on the consumer side, personal income and outlays. The headlines were all better than expected, although the bar is set quite low for an economy that supposedly has been in recovery mode for well over a year.
