  • Finland’s economy has rebounded after a weak start to 2010, but there are signs of a modest slowdown ahead. Private consumption, exports, inventory build-up and residential investment are the main growth drivers in the current upturn.
  • Low capacity utilization in the country’s main trading partners implies capital goods exports, which make up roughly one-third of total Finnish exports, will take time to increase.
  • Consumers are set to face higher inflation, tighter fiscal policy and moderate wage growth in 2011.
