Roughly half of China's economic growth stems from the industrial sector and the growing service sector now constributes about 40%. In recent years the non-manufacturing sector has been undercounted. Agriculture's contribution to GDP has fallen significantly over the last decade to under 10%. Real estate construction has accounted for a large share of China's growth in recent years. Meanwhile, China has become the world's largest consumer of energy.
