Manufacturing surveys suggest that global manufacturing activity continued to expand in September 2009 but growth in output, orders and the overall PMI surveys slowed in many countries, leading some to worry that the global recovery could slow. PMIs from Asia were particularly strong, but those from Europe lag the global average.
