Economist – Latin America (New York)
RGE is seeking strong candidates to fill an Economist – Latin America position based in New York.
Job Description:
This position requires a skill set that enable the candidate to produce key views on various Latin American economies, examine and forecast fundamental macroeconomic variables, produce country specific and thematic economic research in collaboration and synergy with the RGE macro and strategy team. In addition a successful candidate would be able to understand market implications of RGE macro views. This position includes management responsibilities and representation of RGE in the media.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing, analyzing, and posting economic related content that would be most useful to key decision makers around the world
- Keeping up to date on all relevant economic and geostrategic events which affect Latin America and the global economy
- Participating in weekly meetings and contributing ideas on important economic events and topics for Latin America

Qualifications:

Economic Intern – Asia (New York)
The intern will assist the Economist covering Japan, Australia, and Southeast Asia. The position is available immediately and requires approximately 20 hours per week. Applicants based outside of New York may still apply to work remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing, analyzing, writing, and posting content related to Asia that is most pertinent to key decision makers and investors around the world

Strategy Intern – Global Banking/Financials (London)
The Strategy team at RGE provides insightful research and top-down asset allocation advice for a wide audience, from policy-makers to hedge funds. The intern will support the strategist for financial institutions, who provides more detailed insight into the banking system through analysis of individual and aggregated bank financial statements identifying trends and risks to economic growth and current valuations. The role will provide the candidate with invaluable experience relevant to a wide array of roles across the financial sector or further economic and financial study.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering and standardizing primary data for databases and models used for generating recommendations
- Regression analysis and optimization to link fundamental approach to market values
- Keeping up to date on news relevant to the global banking infrastructure and surmising the impact on asset valuations
