Venezuela Outlook: All Eyes on the Election
President Hugo Chavez’s cancer recovery puts him back in the game for the 2012 election, which we expect will be quite a heated race. Inflation should come down in 2012 with help of additional bond issuance. The government will implement more unorthodox policies in the coming year, which will also see increased dependence on foreign producers for basic goods.
